There's something about children's books that feature dogs that just tear at my heart. I'm way past reading these books age-wise, but I doubt I'll ever get past that point emotion-wise. "Henry, the Dog with No Tail" is just such a book. If you love dogs, you've probably talked about their tails (long and fluffy, short and stumpy?), so when Henry goes to the tail-or to get a new tail, you'll have to laugh. Oh, I mean the kids will. By the father-daughter team of Kate and Jules Feiffer, who live on Martha's Vineyard, the book features Jules' quintessential drawings.
